Title / TeitlBrexit and beyond? - Risk Management and your business - OSTC
Date / Dyddiad:21 September 2016 (WED AM Session)
Location / Lleoliad:Swansea

Description:Brexit is undoubtedly going to have far reaching implications for businesses in Wales. A lack of preparedness will separate those who are likely to fail and others who will succeed.

This Inside Welsh Industry visit will outline and investigate the key areas companies in Wales should be considering and best practice in being prepared for the new environment. We will address: Who might have cross currency requirements?, Why is it important to focus on your foreign exchange needs? What foreign exchange strategies can you employ, and why? And what are the issues and risks to consider. Delegates will also be able to partipate with the OSTC trading platform with a live exercise.

With a significant base and trading floor in Swansea, OSTC was established in 2012 and offers a specialised deliverable Foreign Exchange service advising organisations and individuals. With recognised Fast Growth credentials, national and european awards and an expanding UK and international footprint OSTC are uniquely positioned to discuss best practice in the volatile environment of risk management and what you should be thinking about now.

Does dim dwywaith y bydd Brexit yn cael effaith bellgyrhaeddol ar fusnesau yng Nghymru. Yn hyn o beth, diffyg paratoi fydd y gwahaniaeth rhwng y busnesau hynny sy’n debygol o fethu a’r rheini fydd yn llwyddo.

Byddwn yn rhoi sylw i: Pwy allai fod angen ymwneud â mwy nag un gwahanol fath o arian? Pam ei bod hi’n bwysig canolbwyntio ar eich anghenion cyfnewid tramor? Pa strategaethau cyfnewid tramor allwch chi eu rhoi ar waith, a pham? A beth yw’r materion a’r peryglon i’w hystyried. Bydd hefyd modd i chi weithio ar ymarferiad gyda phlatfform masnachu OSTC.

Sefydlwyd OSTC yn 2012 ac mae gan y cwmni bellach sylfaen dda iawn yn Abertawe a gofod masnachu yn y ddinas. Mae’r cwmni’n cynnig gwasanaeth Cyfnewid Tramor arbenigol lle mae’n cynghori mudiadau ac unigolion. Gyda llwyddiannau Twf Cyflym cydnabyddedig, gwobrau cenedlaethol ac Ewropeaidd a dylanwad cynyddol ym Mhrydain a thu hwnt mae OCST mewn sefyllfa unigryw iawn i drafod yr arferion gorau ym maes cyfnewidiol rheoli risg a’r hyn ddylech chi fod yn meddwl amdano ar hyn o bryd.

Title / TeitlComposites are coming - prepare or die? The Advanced Composites Training and Development Centre
Date / Dyddiad:28 September 2016 (Wed AM)
Location / Lleoliad:Hawarden

Description:Composite materials are being widely adopted in some industries, but the supply chain does not have sufficient capacity to cope as expansion continues. Furthermore there is a lack of preparedness and recognition of the effects this will have on traditional metal-based industries as well as a need for training. The Advanced Composites Training and Development Centre was established as a joint activity between Airbus, Wrexham Glyndwr University and Welsh Government in 2010. The Wrexham Glyndwr University part undertakes training in Composites across a wide range as well as research into new methods of high throughput manufacturing to meet future demands. The research takes place on a national stage with close collaboration with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing and the National Composites Centre.

The event will have two parts:
- In the first composite materials will be introduced. The reasons why composite materials are being adopted then will be explored and explained.
- A tour of the facility and opportunity to see composites being made and tested first hand.

Why should you attend?
The event will give an understanding of the issues involved and the drive to replace metals by composites. It will give an insight into the work of the centre and prove the starting point for support through the transition to using and manufacturing in composites.

Disgrifiad:Mae deunyddiau cyfansawdd ar y ffordd – paratoi neu farw?

Cefndir
Mae mynd mawr ar ddeunyddiau cyfansawdd mewn rhai diwydiannau. Eto, does gan y gadwyn gyflenwi ddim digon o gymhwysedd i ymdopi wrth i’r ehangu barhau. Ymhellach, mae diffyg adnabyddiaeth o effaith hyn i gyd ar ddiwydiannau metel traddodiadol, ac mae angen mwy o baratoi a hyfforddiant hefyd. Sefydlwyd y Ganolfan Ddatblygu a Hyfforddiant Deunyddiau Cyfansawdd Uwch fel menter ar y cyd rhwng Airbus, Prifysgol Glyndwr Wrecsam a Llywodraeth Cymru yn 2010. Yn rhan Prifysgol Wrecsam Glyndwr o’r ganolfan caiff hyfforddiant amrywiol ei gynnal ym maes deunyddiau cyfansawdd ac mae llawer o waith ymchwil yn digwydd yno hefyd i ffyrdd newydd o weithgynhyrchu mewnbwn uchel i gwrdd â gofynion y dyfodol. Mae’r gwaith ymchwil yn mynd rhagddo ar lwyfan rhyngwladol ac mewn cydweithrediad agos â’r Ganolfan Ymchwil Gweithgynhyrchu Uwch gyda Boeing a’r Ganolfan Deunyddiau Cyfansawdd Genedlaethol

Bydd dwy ran i’r digwyddiad:
- Yn y rhan gyntaf caiff y deunyddiau cyfansawdd eu cyflwyno cyn mynd ymlaen i egluro ac archwilio pam fod deunyddiau cyfansawdd yn cael eu defnyddio.
- Yna bydd taith o amgylch y cyfleuster a chyfle i weld drosoch chi eich hun ddeunyddiau cyfansawdd yn cael eu gwneud a’u profi.

Pwy ddylai ddod?
Bydd y digwyddiad yn rhoi dealltwriaeth o’r materion sydd ynghlwm â’r maes ac am yr ymgyrch i gyfnewid metelau am ddeunyddiau cyfansawdd. Bydd yn fodd hefyd o gael cipolwg ar waith y ganolfan ac o gael cymorth cychwynnol wrth feddwl am ddechrau defnyddio a gweithgynhyrchu deunyddiau cyfansawdd.

Disgrifiad:Mae’r Bathdy Brenhinol wedi bod yn bathu arian ers 1100 o flynyddoedd ac ar hyn o bryd rydym ni’n cynhyrchu arian cylchredol i’r Deyrnas Gyfunol a 60 gwlad arall ar draws y byd. Yn wir, bob blwyddyn rydym ni’n cynhyrchu 4.5 biliwn darn arian ynghyd â darnau arian coffa, medalau, a barrau aur ac arian.
I unrhyw fudiad sy’n gwthio am welliannau parhaus, mae cydweithio’n hanfodol. Yn hyn o beth, dros y deunaw mis diwethaf mae tair mil o syniadau ynglyn â sut i wella’r sefydliad wedi eu cyflwyno i ni ac yna’u rhoi ar waith. Dyna gydweithio yng ngwir ystyr y gair. Eto i gyd, rydym ni’n gwneud llawer iawn mwy nac annog ein partneriaid i gyflwyno syniadau. Rydym ni’n eu hannog nhw i weithredu’r syniadau hynny ac yna’n cydnabod eu hymdrechion.
Yng nghwrs yr ymweliad byddwn yn trin a thrafod ein System Wella Parhaus, yn egluro’r berthynas rhyngddi â’n ffrwd gwerth ac yn dal sylw ar bob swyddogaeth ategol sy’n rhan ohoni.
Mae’r system wedi ei rhoi ar waith yn y maes cynhyrchu a thu hwnt gydag Adnoddau Dynol, Cyllid a phob proses gynhyrchu i gyd yn dod o dan ei dylanwad.
Yn ystod yr ymweliad byddwn hefyd yn mynd â chi ar daith i rai o’r gwahanol fannau yn y sefydliad. Byddwn yn dangos i chi ein System Wella Parhaus a sut mae ein dull strwythuredig o ddatrys problemau yn elfen hanfodol o’r gwaith sy’n ein gwthio ni i wella’n hunain bob dydd.
